Who We Are
Mark Geiger
Mark was born into a family of apartment operators in Southern California and it is from them he learned all phases of management. Growing up he recognized his passion for real estate and to this day continues to enjoy working with vendors, leasing units, and operating books and records.
As a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Business School with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance, he went on to become a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of California. Post-college Mark started selling and leasing commercial property and his leasing and sales expertise lead him to become a multi-million-dollar producer annually.
With the changing real estate market, Mark along with his partner Kevin Smith decided to start their own venture, Spectrum Real Estate Services, Inc. in 1991. Their company manages, leases, and sells properties in Southern California. Mark is the owner-operator of his own portfolio of rental properties and continues to represent several additional owners in acquiring and managing their investment properties.
When Mark isn’t at the office, he enjoys spending his free time playing beach volleyball, traveling, and hanging out in Newport Beach with his wife and 3 kids.
Kevin Smith
Kevin Smith grew up in Southern California, where his family owned and operated a Boat and Marine dealership. The lessons he learned from this early training have stuck with him all these years, and he prides himself on his work ethic and ability to work with and manage vendors, employees, and department managers. As a compliment to the labor and skills Kevin acquired in the boat business, he attended Orange Coast College and UC Irvine where he studied Business Administration.
In 1984, Kevin joined Orange County Commercial Real Estate Company and quickly became one of the top four brokers in their Orange office. Kevin would oversee the development and marketing of industrial properties.
It was in 1991, that Kevin partnered with Mark Geiger to form Spectrum Real Estate Services, Inc. Kevin’s mechanical knowledge, sales training, and tenant relations have been a pivotal area for Spectrum’s growth. Kevin owns and operates his own investment properties and it is with this experience he understands the needs and expectations of property owners. Every property under Spectrum Real Estate is managed in the same respect as if they are personally owned by the pair.
When Kevin isn’t in the office on the phone, he loves spending time with his wife and kids and going dirt biking.
